Fact: You cannot overdose on candy canes.  It's science!

Fact: You cannot overdose on candy canes.  It's science!

So the song goes: "Christmastime is here!  Happiness and cheer!"

We love Christmas...  The glow of the lights from the houses in the soft dark of night.  The sound of jingle bells and Christmas carols in the air.  The stores decorated in red, white, and green.  The conversations around a warm fire with family and friends..  And the peppermint.  My goodness... So. Much. Peppermint.

And, of course, there's the remembrance of the birth of the Christ child two millennia ago in Bethlehem - the quiet yet bold announcement that God has not given up on the world, that he loves us, and that he wants to be near us despite the mess we have made.  If ever there was reason for happiness and cheer, that would be it.

We hope this Christmas is one filled with love, joy, and an excess of merriment (and peppermint) for you and your family as you spend time together and remember that the God who created and sustains everything is here with us.

And so, as Christmas is a time to be with family and friends, The Bridge has a special holiday schedule, which we have posted below, that we hope will provide you all the time you need to be with your loved ones.  We always take some time off during the holidays from all Bridge activities because we want to honor your families and the trips, festivities, and traditions you have.

May you have the merriest of Christmases!

...The angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people. The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David!
— Luke 2:10-11
