The 12 Days of BYMCmas

'Tis the Season

'Tis the season for giving and The Bridge wants to get in on the holiday spirit of happiness and generosity, so we are having The 12 Days of BYMCmas from December 14 - 25, 2017!

During BYMC, you'll be able to save BIG on your BYMC 2018 registration.  BYMC 2018 normally costs $125, but for 12 days only leading up to Christmas, you can register for BYMC for just $100 (that's a 20% discount)!

All you have to do is have a parent visit our BYMC page on bridgeyouth.com, register you, and fill out the online permission slip.  Easy peasy.

BYMC makes for a great Christmas gift that students will love because they get to go away for a weekend of fun, food, games, music, contests, and more.  Parents will love it too because their kids learn a lot while there about the God who loves them and has done everything possible to bring them close to him.

2017 BBA 3-on-3 Tournament

The Bridge Basketball Association's 2018 season is still a few months off, but in the meantime we're pleased to account this year's edition of the annual 3-on-3 basketball tournament.

The 2016 3-on-3 Tournament will take place on Saturday, September 02 2017, in the Dunn Sports Center in Elizabeth.  Normally, the BBA season is open only to high school boys, but this tournament is open to a much wider age range.  We have four separate age brackets which will compete for their own separate trophies.

The 3-on-3 Tournament age brackets break down as follows:

  1. Ages 9-11

  2. Ages 12-14

  3. Ages 15-18

  4. Ages 19-23

Anyone in at least grade 4 and who is 23 years old or younger can sign up.  Sorry, there are no exceptions on the age range.  Visit the BBA page to pre-register your team.  You need three players per team, but you are allowed to carry a fourth player as an alternate/sub.  Only three players will be allowed on the court at one time.  All players must fall within the same age bracket.  All minors must submit a Parent Release Form filled out and signed by a parent or legal guardian.  Adults 18+ can fill out their own Release Form.  You can download a Release Form here or on the Tournament Registration Page.

You will need to bring a few items/documents with you on October 29 in order to be eligible to play:

  1. A Parent Release Form signed by a parent/legal guardian (or by yourself if you are 18 years old or greater).

  2. Proof of Age (Birth certificate if a minor or in high school.  A valid, current legal state ID or drivers license if you are an adult outside of high school).

  3. A valid school ID (if your school provides one).

We can't wait to see what you've got in the 2016 BBA 3-on-3 Tournament!  Make sure you you pre-register your team so you can lock in your spot in the competition.

And make sure you show up on Saturday, September 02, 2017 at 09:00am in Dunn Sports Center to sign-in and finalize registration for your team.  The competition begins promptly at 10:00am.

Event Update: The 2014 Bridge Olympics

This Friday, September 26, 2014, The Bridges will NOT be meeting in their normal school locations in the evening due to Rosh Hashanah.  We follow the same calendar as the Elizabeth Public Schools program, and so whenever they are closed, we are as well.

Instead, we will be meeting at the Warinanco Park Skating Rink from 2pm until 5pm for the 2014 Bridge Olympics and BBQ.  The Bridge Olympics is a time-honored tradition of The Bridge in which all the different Bridges come together to battle each other in a variety of sporting competitions and games.  The winning Bridge receives a prize to be announced as the event.

We'd like to invite both students and their parents to the 2014 Bridge Olympics and BBQ for an afternoon of fun, games, food, and friendly competition.

Many of our leaders will be on-site and, if you are a parent, would love for the opportunity to you and answer any questions you have.

If you don't currently go to any Bridge but would still like to come out to have some food and play some games with us, you're more than welcomed to do so.  Just pick a Bridge to represent and meet us at 2pm.

Don't forget to wear your Bridge's official color so you can represent your team proudly.

  1. Downtown - Purple
  2. Elmora - Green
  3. North Elizabeth - Orange
  4. South Elmora - Grey
  5. Twenty-Three - Red
  6. Uptown - Brown

See you on Friday!

If you have any questions about the Bridge Olympics, feel free to email us or tweet us.
